Incoming mail

This week I got a letter and some presents from Vesna, in Slovenia. It arrived quite fast, so it was nice. Besides the nice letter, she also included a bunch of address labels (even some with a camera and some with lovebirds), a nice postcard, a beautiful handmade bookmark and a brochure of her city.

Finally I was able to send a few letters to the USA !!! Yesterday I went to the Post Office and sent 3 postcards and a letter to Postmuse (the postcards are part of her Orphaned Postcard Project), a letter to The Snail Mailer and another letter to Joanna. I hope they get them soon !!!

Outgoing mail and good news

This week I sent just 2 letters: one to Germany and another one to Finland. But I've got good news: the girl at the Post Office told me that, starting tomorrow, we're able to send letters to all American countries again, and also Belarus and those suspended African countries !!! So I'm getting ready to send some postcards and  letters this week.

Also, my friend Ines sent this envelope with a nice card and some postcards. I really enjoy writing with her, because we're learning a lot about each other cultures.

Still with our crappy mail service

Do you remember that we had some trouble with our postal service in Venezuela ? I wrote about it a while ago here. Well, it was supposed that we would be able to send mail to all American countries again, but at this time we still can't do that. But things are now worse: besides all American countries, now we can't send mail to certain African countries, and Belarus. I don't have pen pals in any of the banned African countries, but I have a new pal in Belarus and I can't send her anything at this moment. Today I'll write again to our postal service's customer office to see if they have a date for the resolution of this problem, and I'll keep you updated.
